Vampire Knight Volume 6

Title: Vampire Knight Vol 6
Author: Matsuri Hino
Publisher: Shojo Beat
Publication Date: March 2009
Classification: 18+ Manga
Challenge: Outdo Yourself

Summary from Barnes and Noble:
Yuki sneaks into an exclusive vampire party and sees Aido’s parents introducing their daughter to Kaname. They, like many other Night Class parents, desire an alliance with the pureblood. Kaname is the most eligible bachelor in the vampire society—but will he choose Yuki?

My Thoughts:
At the end of volume 5 Zero was just about to kiss Yuki! I was so excited because I’m a Zero fan all the way, forget Kaname! Of course though when this volume starts off they both write it off as if nothing happened and Zero doesn’t actually kiss Yuki even though he does love her. *slams head on desk* *mummbles I like Zero*

So of course the rest of the volume centers more around Kaname and Yuki’s feelings for him. She even ends up at a vampire party where she has to hide upstairs so that no vampires decide to have a late night snack. She of course doesn’t stay where she is suppose to stay and later she gets repremanded by Kaname, he even goes so far as to tell her he is going to make her into a blood sucking vampire. Yuki at this point says something that will certainly shock the reader, but I’m going to be mean and not tell you what she said/did so you will have to read it for yourself.

Overall, I still enjoy the artwork and storyline of this manga series but I didn’t really care for this part of the storyline. To me the vampires are confusing, they always speak only half of the situation and Kaname always knows something that the reader doesn’t know. Plus the vampires are extremely hard to tell the difference between, they all start to look alike. So I had a hard time keeping up with who was who in this volume. The storyline in this volume was good though and I’m interested in seeing what will happen in the next volume because of the cliffhanger in this volume. I’m preparing myself for more Kaname because I have a feeling he is more important in the next volume. So I’m giving this volume 4 hearts, it wasn’t my favorite but it was a good addition to the overall story.

Ugh Kaname! I am so fed up of him! He's definitely gonna be in it a lot, and I'm just going to have to accept that my YukixZero shipping has all been in vain. Oh well… (I like Zero too…)
