“Happily Ever Endings… was born out of sheer frustration. You know how when you read a series and you love it but the last book takes a little while to come out and then you sort of forget parts of the novel? That’s what these posts are going to serve to remedy. Happily Ever Ending… is a short post about what happened at the ending of each book that is going to be in a series for people who need a quick reminder of what happened in the previous installment. I hope this saves someone else the frustration that I went through!”
~ Amber
Ellie, Will and Nathaniel have to travel to Puerto Rico in order to sink Enshi to the bottom of the ocean. Ellie gets her friend Kate to cover for her, playing it off as a fun vacation with Will. Of course once everyone gets to Puerto Rico the race is on to try to get out into the ocean to drop the sarcophagus down far enough that no one would ever be able to retrieve it. Nathaniel finally gets a boat to agree to take them out that far with their special cargo. Everyone knows this is a dangerous journey because they are racing against the clock to make sure Bastian and his crew do not find them before this job is done. If Bastian gets ahold of the Enshi then all will be lost.
Right as the boat gets our heros close to the drop point Bastian’s crew starts to show up on the boat. Within seconds a lot of the mortal crew is killed and now it is up to Ellie, Nathaniel and Will to battle with Geir and Ivar. Of course this two are very powerful members of Bastian’s crew so fighting them is no easy task and as the crew members are finished off there is an epic battle going on between the vir and our heros. Ellie eventually gets into a big battle with Geir to try to distract him from Will and Nathaniel getting the sarcophagus into the depths of the ocean. Ellie wins against Geir by killing him with angelfire but she faces a bigger battle when Bastian himself shows up.
Bastian messes with Ellie’s head a little with some mind games but as soon has he disappears and Ellie goes looking for Will she finds him with white wings spread out from his body. She is shocked to learn that he has wings just like the enemy vir. How could Will keep something like this from her?! She has no time to register the shock because Nathaniel gets the sarcophagus into the water and Ivar tries to dive to catch it in time, she misses it though as it sinks. At the same time Cadan comes to join the mix. Bastian and his crew are all departing though and Bastian has words with Cadan about how he is late. To add more drama to the mix the ship is sinking and at that moment the angel Michael shows up to tell Ellie she is Gabriel the left hand and power of God. Ellie must make sure Lucifer does not come into power, the dark side can not win. Michael tells Ellie he is her brother and that Bastian will retrieve the sarcophagus soon and that Ellie must prevent the awakening. At this point Will freaks out because he has touched Ellie and felt things for an archangel that he should not. He is going to distance himself from her from here on out. Will has a job to do, that is to protect Ellie at all costs, his love is not something he should be allowed to feel for her. Plus bigger problems await them all in book two.

Ooh yay I’m glad you did one for Angelfire! I’m reading Wings of the Wicked soon, so this was a nice reminder. Thanks!
