I love to listen to music. While doing homework, just hanging out with friends, while I cook, and especially when I read. Sometimes my music doesn’t go with what I am reading at all and sometimes the book already has a killer playlist. I love when an author creates a playlist! Just like with TV shows and Movies books also need music to set the tone. They make a scene ten times more emotional, scary, or dramatic. For the whole month of February we are reviewing Adult books so figured we needed a special playlist to set the mood.

There were so may songs I could have used. My list could have been humongous. While putting it together I also realized I could have totally just posted a whole lot of Trey Songz music.

Oh my word, Bianca! I am just loving this playlist! I’ll admit, a lot of this is not my “usual” type of music but I like to think as my ears/ipod/spotify account as a No Judgement Zone (meaning I will listen to just about anything). There are certainly some very interesting songs on this list and they are all really adult-bookish and I totally love it for that!
So I’ll admit most of these songs aren’t my kind of music, but I love that you have Boyz II Men on there! Talk about taking me back to my childhood! They were huge when I was in middle school (yeah, totally aging myself here) and I always thought it was weird that they’d play this song during dances. Seemed so inappropriate for a school dance! Hee hee. Thanks for taking me back!
This playlist is awesome! Haha I love it. I’m going to be listening to this all day now! Thanks for sharing girl!
I’m horrible, I only listen to music in the car when I drive. I use to rely on music just to get by each day but now that I have kids I listen to noise constantly and it’s all just clutter in my head, and adding one more ‘noise’ just makes me more insane. HOWEVER I do like it when I’m alone (like once a week when I grocery shop, or when I exercise) to crank it up. But I mostly just listen to what is on the radio or the music I loved as a teen. And I pretty much detest rap which seems to be the thing for so many.
