Summary from Goodreads:
The scorching tale of one girl, two brothers and a love triangle…that’s not.
Olivia Townsend is nothing special. She’s just a girl working her way through college so she can return home to help her father run his business. She’s determined not to be the second woman in his life to abandon him, even if it means putting her own life on hold. To Olivia, it’s clear what she must do. Plain and simple. Black and white.
But clear becomes complicated when she meets Cash and Nash Davenport. They’re brothers. Twins.
Cash is everything she’s always wanted in a guy. He’s a dangerous, sexy bad boy who wants her in his bed at any cost. He turns her insides to mush and, with just one kiss, makes her forget why he’s no good for her.
Nash is everything she’s ever needed in a guy. He’s successful, responsible and intensely passionate. But he’s taken. Very taken, by none other than Marissa, Liv’s rich, beautiful cousin. That doesn’t stop Olivia from melting every time he looks at her, though. With just one touch, he makes her forget why they can never be together.
Black and white turns to shades of gray when Olivia discovers the boys are hiding something, something that should make her run as far and as fast as she can. But it’s too late to run. Olivia’s already involved. And in love. With both of them.
Both brothers make her heart tremble. Both brothers set her body on fire.
She wants them both.
And they want her.
How will she ever choose between them?
I knew I had to read this book the instant I saw the hot cover and if the cover wasn’t enough to interest me then the excerpts that everyone had up on their blogs around release day were enough to get me to purchase a copy the day it became available. The story sounded so sexy and I already could tell I was going to love Cash and Nash just from those little pieces that all those lovely bloggers were posting. I was expecting a fun ride with a bit of steam but I got so much more than that out of this book. Before I get ahead of myself let me explain.
The characters are just downright awesome! I’m a huge character driven reader so the characters have to be perfect for me to really love the direction a story takes. How any woman could not fall for the sexy night club owner Cash, I have no idea. He was perfect from the moment he pretended to be a stripper and have Olivia take off his shirt! This man just screamed sex appeal and I was taken from the start. Then there is the smooth, bold, smart and sexy law school student Nash who also appeals to me because of his smarts and how he is trying to better his life by going to law school. Both men just had me wrapped up in their lives and stories and I really wish I could have just jumped into the story to be Olivia so I could constantly be surrounded by the two of them. I did feel Olivia’s pain though because she didn’t want to fall for another bad boy like Cash and she couldn’t be with Nash because he was already dating someone. Oh lets be honest I would have taken Olivia’s place no matter what!
Then there was the really cool story about all three character’s pasts and where they came from and how everything was going to fit together in the story. I really enjoyed Olivia’s friends and how she was still connected with her dad back in the country side of the state. I loved that Olivia remained strong around two men who were pushing and pulling her in two very different directions and just when I was getting really comfortable with the story the author through in something shocking near the middle of the book and then I was glued to the page to find out which sexy man showed up at her place that night to have his way with her. I was dying to know so I basically stayed up the whole rest of the night to find out.
Overall, I know that many people said they didn’t see the end of this one coming but I figured it out pretty early on, I wasn’t 100% sure I was right though which made reading to the very last page so interesting. I was seriously engrossed in this book the entire time, I could not put it down to go to bed. The fact I so desperately needed to keep reading about Nash, Cash and Olivia and that I was jumping up and down several times out of my reading chair when something exciting or frustrating would happen means I love this book. I love when I’m so invested in what is going on that I completely forget where I am and that jumping up to yell in frustration over something a fictional male does means I couldn’t be more amazed by the book if I tried. All I really have to say is this book was awesome and now I have to read some of the YA books this author wrote. She is instantly an author that I need to know more about now.
