As you probably already know I haven’t been a part of Pages Of Forbidden Love’s journey since the beginning. Pages of Forbidden Love was Alexa’s wonderful creation and I am happy I have gotten to be a part of it for the last year and a half. How and why have I found myself here you may ask? Okay you didn’t ask but I am just about to tell you
I first started blogging about two or three years ago. I was really bored one day and out of the blue I thought “why not?” and created a blog called For The Love Of Randomness. It was a random idea hence the name I chose. It started out as being a place for me to write about whatever. As I started posting I noticed everything was about either music, movies, or books. I gained a follower or two and started searching for other bloggers. At the time I didn’t know much about the community but I slowly started coming across Book Bloggers! I’ve always been a reader since I was younger but the people close to me in my life aren’t all big readers so it’s hard to gush or rant about the latest book i’ve read. Slowly books began to dominate the blog. It was time to end For The Love Of Randomness and start a new blog.
I then created Bianca’s Book Blog (or something like that. I can’t really remember the name) and followed more book blogs. I still knew very little but I tried to improve my blog. I had very little followers but I kept chugging along. Alexa was one of my first followers and she always made my day with a comment. She also was open to any blogging questions I had. I changed the blogs name to The Brown Eyed Bookie and with Alexa’s help made it look a little better. Not too long after Alexa emailed me.
I saw that Alexa was looking for some help on the blog and since I had my own I just never thought to actually contact her about it. I did comment on her post because I loved the sign she attached though. Next thing I know I have a tweet saying to check my email and hopefully it wasn’t too crazy of an idea. I was surprised but was definitely not against it. I just had to really think about it. Alexa let me ask a million questions on what it would really mean if I said yes. Come on, it was her baby and I didn’t want to join and overstep my boundaries but I still wanted to know I would still have the freedom to post what I wanted. Thankfully Alexa is awesome and everything we talked about sounded great to me. Although, I loved blogging on my blog I knew joining Pages of Forbidden Love was a great opportunity to talk about the books I love and with more people. I honestly do not think I would still be blogging if it wasn’t for joining Alexa on this blog and that would be a shame. I love it and all the people i’ve met since I started. Thanks for asking Alexa and thank you everyone else for welcoming me.
