Summary from Goodreads:

Winter Belov was the sweet innocent one in her crime family, the dutiful daughter that never disappointed her father. One day, her father does the unspeakable. When he turns his back, Winter flees across the country, taking her life savings with her, determined never to enter that sort of lifestyle again.

No longer innocent, she now lives in Nevada. Lana is her best friend and the only family Winter has. Together, they are two of the best exotic dancers in the county. While working a shift, Pyro, Lana’s long time crush, propositions Winter. He begs her to do a private gig at Breakneck. She accepts, with the condition that Lana dances with her.

When Winter’s eyes lock with Braxxon Breaker’s, the President of Breakneck, she realizes she is no longer free; she has been seized. He is everything she is running from but at the same time, everything she wants. Braxxon will not take no for an answer, and purposely disrupts Winter’s life.

Rivals of Braxxon’s club are vicious and they do something that will have him out for blood. Winter’s and Braxxon’s relationship is anything but a normal one. If they want to be together, crimes must be committed, friendships will be broken and people are going to die.

What happens when all that chaos mixes with Winter’s father locating her? It will be a bloodshed when Winter and Braxxon seek revenge and take no prisoners.

My Thoughts:

Another recommendation from the bestie Lori and she never, I mean NEVER steers me wrong. Holy freaking hell, this book is so hot, so filthy, so heart wrenching that I think I may have had a mini heart attack from reading it! I guess I could say this tale has some dark subjects within it’s shell, but that would be a lie. This book IS a “dark subject” and if you can’t endure things like sexual violation, brutality, and anything else you can think of that might make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, then this book is NOT for you! I was totally sold on this book when I read the opening statement of the synopsis: “***WARNING*** This novel contains explicit language, sex, drugs, abuse and sexual situations that some might find offensive.” Oh it was most definitely for me and I can’t wait to dive, no jump, wait, no leap into more of Ms. Spear’s books!

Her characters are so likeable it’s sickening. Even the rough dialogue and crude actions made my panties moist! I sincerely want to run out and join a Motorcycle Club just so I can be some alpha biker’s o’lady!!! I think Brax just got put into my top 10 favorite alpha males. He’s the MC President, he’s huge, good looking, has a voice that could remove any panties in a heartbeat, and he’s got heart. In the beginning, I wasn’t so sure about him with his challenging ways and all, but he swiftly burrowed into my heart and that’s where he will forever exist! Now Ms. Winter, oh boy! A girl after my own heart! Running from a past, living a shady present, and looking forward to a safe and prosperous future! I can’t tell you a great deal about her without giving anything away, but I will say this, she’s the sweetest, cutest, and by far the strongest female character I’ve come across in quite some time. All I can say is… GUMMY BEEEAARRRRSSSS!!!! Great supporting characters in Lana, ZZ, Berry, Pyro, Sniper, and many more.

The story itself is 256 (Kindle version) pages long and completely and utterly effortless to read. The point of view shifts back and forth from our main characters and keeps us on a non-stop roller coaster of dreadful circumstances mixed with a beautiful love story. I whole heartedly disagree with the lower star ratings. I mean, how can you rate a book one star for it’s substance when you were warned about it in the beginning. Seriously folk, why bother reading it to begin with? Shame on you guys!
