Summary from Goodreads:
Taylor Jax has been warding off Shane Griffin’s advances for a long time. Sure, she’s attracted to him. Who wouldn’t be? He is one fine example of the male form and in the time she’s gotten to know him as a customer in her store, he seems a great guy too. He’s just too young for Taylor and she fears that if she gives in to him, he’ll get bored with her eventually. She can’t risk her heart getting broken but her concerns don’t stop her fantasies; fantasies her friends are trying very hard to help make a reality.
After a game of Truth or Dare, Taylor finds herself in an adult store with a list of goodies to purchase in order to make her fantasies come true. Does Taylor have it in her to let go of her worries and seduce the secret man of her dreams? Shane has faith that it will only be a matter of time before Taylor sees how perfect they are for each other and when she finally caves in, he’s going to be more than ready to step up to the plate.
I think I’ve calmed down enough to write this review… phew!! This is the second installment of the Griffin Brothers series, which can be read as a stand alone, but it’s oh so much better if you read Unwrapped first. This book was just as hot, if not hotter than the first if that’s even possible. There are a couple of issue that are characters are dealing with, but nothing to sinister or scary. Nothing a little sex toy can’t cure!! LOL!!
Shane has been one of my favorites since the first book and he’s remained in that position since. Must be the long, dark hair. No, maybe it’s that he’s a landscaper and he’s uber tan and always sweaty. Maybe it’s the fact that he owns a sex toy store and knows how to use everything in it. Ding, ding, ding… that’s it!!! I mean who wouldn’t fall in love with a sex God who is looking to claim you as his “forever”! Taylor, well, she needed a little coaxing and thank goodness for her crazy friends. Loved the toy store scene. Allison and Meeko are top notch friends in my book! I was glad to see the cameos from Meg and Brad. Meg was cracking me the heck up during the hospital scene. I think I love her now more than ever!
I appreciated how the point of view kept altering, it keeps me up on who’s thinking what about that particular state of affairs. The writing style is smooth and flows very nicely. The pacing is perfect and the climax is wonderful! I found myself getting so excited I dropped my Kindle! The hubs wanted to know what my problem was, I told him, just wait till later and I’ll show you! I’m a hands on kinda girl!!! LOL!
Overall this beautiful little novella is worth your time… At 69 (Kindle Version) pages long (bwahahaha 69) it’s got everything you’ll need for a quick “afternoon delight” (nooner) read. I know, I know, I’m a dork!
