Title: My Life From Hell (The Blooming Goddess Trilogy 3)
Author: Tellulah Darling
Publisher: Te Da Media
Publication Date: March 20th 2014
To say that Sophie Bloom is at the top of her game with one only week until spring equinox and the final showdown with Zeus and Hades would be, well, lying. The Goddess of Spring feels more like the Goddess of Bzz Thanks For Playing than the savior of humanity. And could her relationships be any more messed up?
Sophie is convinced that things can’t get any worse than crawling back to her mother Demeter and begging for help. But she’s about to find out how very wrong she is.
It’s a race against time for Sophie to implement the big battle strategy in the YA romantic comedy/Greek mythology finale My Life From Hell. Love meets comedy with a whole lot of sass in book three of this teen fantasy romance series. Save herself; save the world. Humanity may be screwed.
“Even if I win, what will my future hold? Can I put “saved world” on a college application? If I fulfil my destiny next week, where do I go from there? A Where Are They Now pity piece in some Greek god trash rag?”
I cannot believe it’s all over! Finishing a series seems to always be bittersweet. It can feel so good to see everything come to a close. From the beginning I look forward to the ending. I want to know how everything will end but I do not really want it to end. Make sense? Of course you know what I mean I’m happy I had the opportunity to follow Sophie, Kai, Festos, Theo, etc to the end but I am saddened that the end has come.
The friendship, the romance, and the rivalry always had me wanting more. Tellulah seems to always have me laughing, swooning, and on the edge of nervousness as I fly through her books. The Blooming Goddess Series has been so much fun to read and the final installment was no exception. Past and present friendships were put to the test, relationships remained complicated, and the fight for power reared its ugly head more than it already has.
Nothing came easy in My Life From Hell. The right way to save earth remained elusive. The gang continued to hope for the best in the hardest of times and in the end they knew the outcome of it all was not set. Sophie and Kai had some major issues to work out but continued to avoid. They shared their kisses freely while communication died off. Everyone was on edge with the final showdown quickly approaching and with that some people got closer and others began to pull away from each other. People got pissed off and the situation definitely reached new lows. Whether everything was mended again is something for you to find out.
Overall, great ending for an already awesome series. There was still so much more to learn. My Life From Hell had even more to reveal than I was expecting. Tellulah threw in some unexpected twists and for that I am grateful. The Blooming Goddess Trilogy now has its ending but I look forward to reading what Tellulah Darling creates next.
