Why I’m Waiting On It:

This is the final book in the Angelfire series and I can’t wait to watch this battle unfold. I have been waiting so long to see this dark battle come to an end! Of course the only thing that will break my heart is that I’m on the losing team with this book. It is like picking Jacob over Edward. I know Ellie is in love with Will but I can’t help but melt at the sight of Cadan! *keeping fingers crossed that Cadan gets his own story told in at least one book*

Waiting on Wednesday (33)

Summary:

Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight. Of Pandemonium, ALA Booklist noted that “like all successful second volumes, this expands the world and ups the stakes, setting us up for the big finale.”

After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor. Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

Why I’m Waiting On It:

Well I really don’t like this cover! I think the dust jacket will come off of this book once I own my own copy of it. I have had my ups and downs with this series and I certainly don’t head over heels love it like a lot of people do but I do think it is a great series. Plus with the cliff hanger endings, I can’t help but pick up this book after the way Pandemonium ended.

Why I’m Waiting On It:

This is easy, it is Kate Brian! I love her Private series as well as Megan Meade’s Guide to the McGowan Boys. She can do no wrong in my book with contemporary novels so I can’t wait to see what she has to offer in the darker category that this book seems to fit into. 2013 can’t come soon enough!

Summary:

In this high-action and romantic futuristic adventure, there is no escape from the future for two contemporary girls pulled out of their own time.

The twenty-fifth-century government transported the girls to their city hoping to find a famous scientist to help perfect a devastating new weapon. The moblike Dakine fights against the government, and somehow Taylor and Sheridan find themselves in the middle. The only way to elude them all is to trust Echo, a guy with secrets of his own. The trio must put their faith in the unknown to make a harrowing escape into the wilds beyond the city.

Why I’m Waiting on It…

I love C.J. Hill’s other books so I put this one on my wish list. Lately the reviews on Goodreads have not been filled with praise like I had hoped they would be so I’m a little iffy on this one. I do love the author’s writing so I might end up really enjoying this one despite the fact that many are saying it was difficult for them to get through. We shall just have to wait and see once it is closer to the release date, but I’m still really excited to at least give it a try!

Waiting on Wednesday (29)

This is a great weekly theme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine to show off the books that we are looking forward to that haven’t been released yet.

Summary:

Chronicling the rise of the Keepers, this is the stunning prequel to Andrea Cremer’s internationally bestselling Nightshade trilogy!

Sixteen-year-old Ember Morrow is promised to a group called Conatus after one of their healers saves her mother’s life. Once she arrives, Ember finds joy in wielding swords, learning magic, and fighting the encroaching darkness loose in the world. She also finds herself falling in love with her mentor, the dashing, brooding, and powerful Barrow Hess. When the knights realize Eira, one of their leaders, is dabbling in dark magic, Ember and Barrow must choose whether to follow Eira into the nether realm or to pledge their lives to destroying her and her kind.

With action, adventure, magic, and tantalizing sensuality, this book is as fast-paced and breathtaking as the Nightshade novels.

Release Date:

August 7, 2012

Why I’m Waiting On It…

I loved Nightshade and Wolfsbane. Althought I wasn’t that happy on how Bloodrose ended I still want to read the world that happened before all of the destruction of the Nightshade world. It will certainly be interesting to see how a system that was so perfect ended up with certain people being in charge and using magic in terrible ways.

Why I’m Waiting on it:

I barely know anything about Vlad yet as I have just recently learned he existed upon reading At Grave’s End. However, even though I barely know his character, the pieces I did see of him in the third Night Huntress Novel were enough to make me start looking forward to sinking my claws into his story. I expect that he will not disappoint, I mean come on look at him!

Summary:

When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she’s single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, stalked by her ex’s frat brother, and failing a class for the first time in her life.

Her econ professor gives her an email address for Landon, the class tutor, who shows her that she’s still the same intelligent girl she’s always been. As Jacqueline becomes interested in more from her tutor than a better grade, his teasing responses make the feeling seem mutual. There’s just one problem—their only interactions are through email.

Meanwhile, a guy in her econ class proves his worth the first night she meets him. Nothing like her popular ex or her brainy tutor, Lucas sits on the back row, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. At a downtown club, he disappears after several dances that leave her on fire. When he asks if he can sketch her, alone in her room, she agrees—hoping for more.

Then Jacqueline discovers a withheld connection between her supportive tutor and her seductive classmate, her ex comes back into the picture, and her stalker escalates his attention by spreading rumors that they’ve hooked up. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.

Why I’m Waiting on it:

If you have never read a book by Tammara Webber then you really need to catch up on her first book Between the Lines and the sequels that follow. This is a new book though and it sounds just as awesome as everything she has already done. Plus Webber offers up great older teen stories and phew I swear they can get you hotter than some adult romance books can with the passion and connection Webber’s characters have. This is certainly going to be a book to be on the look out for, I know I can’t wait!

Why I’m Waiting on it:

This one sounds awesome, it reminds me a little of a book I loved by the name of A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly. Plus people are saying this one is really creepy and chilling and normally I wouldn’t enjoy books like that but I have come to really like them so I can’t wait. Certainly put this one on your list, because I know it is on the top of mine!
